I am....

...packing like crazy. We officially move tomorrow, but we get the keys today and will put some stuff in the garage and install the washer and dryer.

...excited about owning a washer and dryer again, getting back into cloth diapering will be soooo much easier. Jim gives a half-hearted whoo hoo to that! He will miss the paper diapers, and I suspect keep them on hand for outings - especially Evan day.

...looking forward to a real clothes line, compost pile and watching my kiddos play in their own yard.

...getting ready to start full-time work at the preschool. I was worried at first - I will be gone so much more and see the kids for a much shorter lunch break. I've worked through the worries and think this is for the best. Our schedule will be more constant and the money always helps.

...in love with my kids.

...tired of nursing Maggy. When she's teething it never ends. She just stumbled over to the couch sobbing and forlorn, because I booted her off the desk after she repeatedly turned the moniter off. Now she's throwing pillows off the couch, I guess I'd better go tend to her needs. She does make up for it in cuteness, you know.

Fletcher is....

...still a nature boy at heart. We have been talking about drop off days at Evan's house, so he can spend some one-on-one time working with Evan. They would explore the pond near his house, work on arrow heads, making a bow, and fire building among other things.

...says he is, "obssessed with Bakugans."

....almost done with kindergarten! It has been a long and interesting school year. He taught himself to read and write. He found some art fun, but mostly chooses not to participate. He loves science experiments, and hypothesizing about outcomes. Karate counts for P.E., he's now a yellow belt. And now, summer here we come!
Fletcher sparring at the belt ceremony, he's on the left.

...learning to navigate life with a little sister. He loves to snuggle her first thing in the morning. By bedtime he's ready to chuck her out the front door.

...excited about his fist sleepover! He and his cousin Bella are spending the night with my Mom and Harvest tomorrow. Jim and I are keeping out fingers crossed we don't get a call in the middle of the night. We are just as excited as he is. Maggy, on the other hand, may not be so happy with him gone.

....looking forward to the Templeton pool opening back up.

...planning a date with Mom and Dad to see the new Night at the Museum. (that means no Maggy!)

...not at ALL happy about out new move. He says the house is too small. He looks forward to having a yard where we can have a dog, "elsewise, I do not want to live there."

...growing up. I can't believe my own eyes.

Maggy is....

…keeping us all on our toes as she practices for her Mount Everest climb. She pulls chairs around in order to get on top of tables. She will try anything to get on the desk, grunting and yelling if her efforts don’t pan out. We have to watch out witch moving boxes we stack next to each other or next to furniture, she strategically scales them in order to get as high as she can, then stands at the top – looking quite pleased with herself. She has been know to drag a stool over the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs in order to get a leg up and over said gate!

...a hat girl.

….doing her best to dominate the household by biting anyone who gets in her way. Fletcher is most often the victim of her vicious teeth, she has found biting him to be a very effective way of stopping him from taking toys away.

....waving her index finger in the air and saying, "no, no, no."

...eating everything put in front of her, except most fruits - strange I know.

...a huge fan of water. If I want to get something done in the kitchen, I give her a pot with a few inches of water and something to put in it. She's happy for at least 20 minutes!

The hose is an added bonus!

....carrying her dolly around under one arm by the neck, and occasionally giving her kisses.

....puckering up for lots of smooches.

Happy Mother's Day.....

...to all the moms I know and love.

My day was wonderful, I hope yours was too!
