I am....

working full time. There are things I love, and things I don't.

missing my kids.

missing out on the summer fun, play dates and meeting up at the pool.

missing afternoon conversations with Fletcher.

tired at night.

so glad to walk into the house in the evening.

grateful for hugs and smooches from my kids.

glad Maggy often waves me off in the morning with a big smile.

enjoying more gluten free food, including the scones my Mom made and the veggie tart Harvest made - thank you, thank you. Lovely, delicious food I can eat makes gatherings so much more enjoyable.

on and off fantasizing about weaning Maggy, so I can gorge on wheat. All the while knowing that even if she did not nurse I would still be wheat free - just so she would not be the only one with a restricted diet.

grateful for NVC.

practicing hyperfueling.

addicted to a podcast called Stuff You Should Know, from How Stuff Works. Another current favorite is Wait Wait..... Don't Tell Me, and of course, Savage Love.

enjoying Wednesday evenings: we head to the library after work since it's open late then go over to the Lake Park and play, it's so nice to have that time with Fletch and Maggy. Sometimes Jim joins us and sometimes he takes the opportunity to get a break.

looking forward to our camping trip, so very very much.

not going to promise to be better about blogging. I really don't get much computer time these days - I choose to use up all my home time with the kids. I am going to hope to get back to it though, I'll try to devote a bit more time to updates and pictures!

so filled up with love when my kids smile and laugh.

happy when Jim is happy.

Maggy is....

is dancing all the time. She's got moves too!

quite the goofball. I love it, she laughs so much, I can't help but laugh with her.

helping Jim with the sprinklers. She takes her job very seriously.

only occasionally does she allow me to put her hair up. Then she pulls the pony tail or barrette right out. Her bangs are so long now, we are talking about cutting it. The funny thing is, I thought I would be all for cutting it, Jim said he never wanted to cut it. Now, he says - let's do it. I just can't!

so sweet and funny.

totally in love with her brother. She tries to do absolutely everything he does - including diving off the arm of the couch. On nights when he falls asleep before her, she will often go into his room and crawl into bed with him, pull up the covers and sing to him while petting his head.

talking all the time!!! She repeats everything she hears: sure, awsome - this is a current favorite word of hers, stop it!, Bretcher, Bretch, milt (milk), doggy, side, swing, pool, bath, night-night, bye-bye, and so very much more.

Fletcher is....

reading everything. He just finished up the summer reading program at the library and generously gave Maggy his library bag from last years program.

enjoying the Wii, all over again!

enduring life with Maggy. She always wants to do what he is doing, which makes him crazy. On the other hand if she is otherwise engage he finds some way to get her attention.

missing his friends.

positive we are the meanest parents in the world.

incredible, I am daily amazed by his play and imagination.

wearing the same pair of pants. every. single. day.

talking like a teenager. Someone teach me patience, please.

scrubbing the kitchen floor on his hands and knees - wearing board shots and bearback - just like dad does it.

so tall, he's up to my chest. What is happening?
